Your administrator can set up WebTerm so that you can start it without logging in.
For direct access without logging in you start WebTerm by entering a special URL. You obtain that URL from your administrator or connect to it via an intranet link, for example. The URL specifies a set user name, password and WebTerm dialog language so that you do not have to enter them.
If you log out of WebTerm by clicking the Log out button, WebTerm displays the login page. You then require a user name and password in order to log in again.
Alternatively, you can use the direct-access URL again to start WebTerm without having to log in.
The Single Sign-On option (SSO) is useful in situations where WebTerm is incorporated in a web portal (e.g. a website) that you have already logged into. With the Single Sign-On option, you do not have to log into WebTerm separately.
This function is an optional feature![]() Please note that this function is an optional feature and has to be enabled on the WebTerm server. For more information, please contact our sales team. |
Single Sign-On has to be set up by your administrator. The Single Sign-On log-in account that your administrator creates specifies the WebTerm dialog language and a user role. That role determines what your permissions in WebTerm are.
The administrator can assign the SSO login multiple roles. In that case you can change roles so as to carry out different tasks:
1 To change dialog language or role, first log out of WebTerm: To do so, click the Log out button.
WebTerm then displays the following window:
2 If your SSO login has been assigned multiple roles, select the desired role from the Roles list.
3 From the Dialog language drop-down list, select the language in which you want the user interface to be displayed.
4 Confirm your entries by clicking the Login button.
WebTerm displays the user interface and you can start working with the new dialog language and role.
