Specifying the number of data records listed on the Search & Find panel

What you should know

In the search options you can specify how many data records WebTerm is to display on the Search & Find panel after completing a search.

Same initial letter

If you choose this setting, WebTerm lists only those data records that start with the same letter as the search term.

If you do not select that option, WebTerm lists all data records that follow the search term in alphabetical order.

Please note: If you have used a wildcard (*) or regular expressions in your search, WebTerm lists only the matching entries.

Number of data records per page

This allows you to specify the number of data records that WebTerm displays on each page. By clicking the Previous and Next buttons, you can navigate to the previous or following page.

Example: you specify that all data records with the same initial letter are to be displayed and set a maximum number of 5. If you search for application , WebTerm lists five data records. By clicking the Previous and Next buttons, you can navigate to the previous or following page. However, WebTerm only shows the data records that start with A .

If this function is not displayed

If WebTerm does not show this function, that means that you do not have the necessary user permissions to use it (see here). Please contact your administrator for further assistance.

2 If you want WebTerm to only list the data records that start with the same letter as the search term, select Same initial letter.

If you deselect that option, WebTerm lists all data records that follow the search term in alphabetical order.

3 In the Data records per page box, enter the maximum number of data records that you want WebTerm to list on each page.

The next time you perform a search, WebTerm will use the new settings.
