When you delete terminology, you must make a decision:
If you want to delete an entire semantic unit, delete the data record .
WebTerm then deletes the entire data record including all entries and header fields.
If you want to delete a translation within a semantic unit, delete the entry .
WebTerm then deletes only the selected entry. All other entries and the header fields are retained.

If you want to delete an entire semantic unit, delete the data record.
1 Select the data record you require: To do so, click the source-language term on the Search & Find panel.
WebTerm displays the data record details on the Details panel.
2 To delete the data record, click the Delete button on the toolbar.
If WebTerm does not display the Delete button, that means you do not have editing permission for the dictionary which contains the data record.
If you do have editing rights, WebTerm displays the following message as confirmation:
Data record will be deleted. Are you sure?
3 Confirm or cancel the deletion of the data records:
If you really do want to delete the data record, confirm by clicking OK .
If you do not want to delete the data record, click on Cancel .
WebTerm displays the following message:
Data record has been deleted.
If you want to delete a translation within a semantic unit, delete the entry.
1 Open the data record you require in Edit mode:
To do so, click the source-language term on the Search & Find panel. WebTerm shows the data record details.
Click the Edit button on the Details panel.
WebTerm switches to Edit mode so that you can edit the data record.
2 Delete the contents of the Term field.
WebTerm automatically deletes the contents of the other fields in the entry.
3 To exit Edit mode and save your changes, click the
Accept
button.
To exit Edit mode without saving your changes, click the Cancel button.
If you accept the changes, WebTerm saves the changed data record to the database.
