You can attach multimedia files to a data record in order to illustrate its meaning (e.g. images, video clips or sound files).
WebTerm will then show buttons in the data record header for viewing or playing those multimedia files (see the section "Viewing multimedia files").
The header field Graphic/Video/Sound must be displayed![]() In order that you can work with multimedia files, the Graphic/Video/Sound field must be displayed. If WebTerm does not display the Graphic/Video/Sound field, check the relevant settings on the Details view menu (see the section "Customising Details view"). |
When you add multimedia files and confirm the changes, WebTerm uploads the multimedia files to the WebTerm server.
Proceed as follows to add a multimedia file:
1 Open the data record you require in Edit mode:
To do so, click the source-language term on the Search & Find panel. WebTerm shows the data record details.
Click the Edit button on the Details panel.
WebTerm switches to Edit mode so that you can edit the data record.
2 If necessary, expand Header so that you can see the header fields.
WebTerm shows the file names and appropriate icons for any existing multimedia files:
3 To add a multimedia file, click Browse .
WebTerm displays the Upload file window.
4 Select the required multimedia file and confirm your choice by clicking Open .
WebTerm shows the file name to the left of the Browse button.
5 To exit Edit mode and save your changes, click the
Accept
button.
To exit Edit mode without saving your changes, click the Cancel button.
If you accept the changes, WebTerm saves the changed data record to the database.

3 To remove a multimedia file, click the Delete button next to the file name.
WebTerm shows then the file name with a line through it:
If you change your mind and decide not to delete the file, click the Delete button again.
WebTerm then shows the file name without a line through it.
4 To exit Edit mode and save your changes, click the
Accept
button.
To exit Edit mode without saving your changes, click the Cancel button.
If you accept the changes, WebTerm saves the changed data record to the database.
